If you’ve been experiencing a sex dry spell since quarantine, don’t be too hard on yourself. According to a 2019 survey of over 2,000 individuals by Swedish intimidate lifestyle company LELO, the average person endures five-month periods or more of no sex at least four times throughout their lives. While, sure, that might sound pretty torturous if you’re currently going through it, the survey also reports that nearly half of participants found their dry spells beneficial. Some perks they noted were more money in their bank accounts, more availability to hang with friends, and a better understanding of who they are.
